RLA: About the Author

Isabella Qian was born in LA, California, but she was raised up in China, or at least until the transformative 2014. Then, she moved to Singapore, and continued her student life. She has been very lucky and has been chosen for parts (big and small) in three movies before. After all this drama, she felt that stories were all so interesting, with the unexpected twists, and that writing is so much more powerful than she thought it was. Then, she started to love reading and writing, and Isabella started a few stories, which she hopes to someday write an end to it.

Isabella is a very indecisive person as well. Over the past 11 years, Isabella still doesn't know what job is her passion. She has thought of being a teacher, a scientist ("How did I think of that?" she says), an investment businesswoman, and even a spy! Right now, her "dream job" is a clothing designer. Isabella's imagination often leads her to daydream, where she has magical powers that make her fly and just go around to help strangers (who were hopefully good people, not evil villains in disguise). Her favorite author right now is Rick Riordan, and currently, she is doing the tedious work of waiting for his next book, The Blood of Olympus, to come out.

Isabella has four members in her family, an older sister who is currently in college, a loving mom, and a caring dad (who actually just sort of sticks around). Isabella is currently in Middle School, and she loves playing badminton, ever since her mom and dad dragged her off her iPad and pulled her into a game of badminton in 2nd grade. In her spare time, Isabella loves to cook simple meals and decorate them with whatever 'cool' food there is, she loves arts and crafts, and her computer is definitely a must.
Now, Isabella is a half-time Reader, a half-time Writer, and of course, a full-time oreo-holic! Secretly, even though Isabella is living in the wonderful environment of Singapore, she wants to move to somewhere where everything is made out of oreos......

Quote from author:
"Love reading, love writing, and love Oreos!"
