Math: 3/4 ÷ 1/8 (Solving Problems)

Question: How do you find the answer of 3/4 divided by 1/8?
The simple algorithm answer would be easy: 6.
However, the real question is, how do you find the answer? Well, if you don't know, then this is the post you'll need to read.
ALGORITHM STEP-BY-STEP
1. Change the divisor to its reciprocal. The reciprocal is basically the backwards of a fraction, so the reciprocal of 5/9 would be 9/5, and 3/7 would be 7/3. Therefore, the reciprocal of 1/8 would be 8/1.
2. Now, all you need to do is change the whole thing to multiplication!

3/4 x 8/1 = 24/4 =6

THE ACTUAL GOODIE-GOOD EXPLANATION
This question is actually asking for how many 1/8s can fit into 3/4. Diagrams are the easiest to explain with, so here's one. :)
