A Newbie's Guide to Survival: Math Edition

So if you are not 11 years old, stop reading. *Puts on stern face*

OK, so I expect you, reader, to have epic math skills and know how to do trigonometry and know how to solve cos and cos sin.

No? Well, dang. Read on and this guide will help you survive 6th grade math. *Opening music for 20th Century Fox movies*

A NEWBIE'S GUIDE TO SURVIVAL: MATH EDITION

1. Send Mr. Hardinge math videos to get on his good side.
2. Talk in super mathy terms, even if you don't know what they mean at the time, and Mr. Hardinge will like you... just remember to learn them later in that unit. :)
3. Listen to music to help you calm down if you're getting frustrated
4. Use highlighters in your math tests so that you don't miss any important information (and get bonus points :P).
5. Check your work when you take summatives, and don’t waste your time studying for math tests. As long as you pay attention in class and keep up with the work you do in class, you will be fine.
6. Make use of your calculator. You don't want to have even 1 STUPID mistake, because that can change your score from an Exemplary, to a Meets. However, if you can't use a calculator for something, DON'T CHEAT!!!!!!
7. If you're unsure of something, make sure to ask Mr. Hardinge for an explanation. If you think that Mr. Hardinge was unfair with a grade, also ask him and tell him why you think that. Trust me, sometimes, he grades the assessment wrong, and I can prove it!

BUT MOST OF ALL.........

8. Get ready for a blast-off to Planet Dread, which has now been considered a dwarf planet because no one really cares about it (in other words, Math). :P ;D
